Namaste...

"Never doubt that a small group
of committed citizens can change the world.
   Indeed, it's the only thing that has."

Margaret Meade

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves: who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
You are a child of God
Your playing small doesn't serve the world
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so
That other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were all meant to shine like children do
We were born to make manifest the glory of God
That is within us.

It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone!
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others!

Nelson Mandela
Inaugural Speech - South Africa 1994

Who am I?

You are a spirit, eternal and free.
You currently have a case of mistaken identity.
You are temporarily in a body to learn that you are beyond a body,
just like a caterpillar must one day become a butterfly.
All experiences you have in your life are teaching you this.
That is why everything you do to better yourself,
is just one more step forward to reaching your potential.
You were born to do great things.

At the moment, you are only using a minute percentage of the power of your mind.
You currently cannot use all of your mind,
otherwise you would freak yourself out.
It must be done little by little,
until eventually, the great and powerful spiritual being you truly are, will shine,
and it will shine brightly touching every aspect of the world you live in.
Everything will become transformed.

You will then become a great example for others,
and you will then remind others of their inner potential,
touching everyone,
one by one.

Anyway

People are often unreasonable
illogical and self-centered
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
People may accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are succesful,
you will win some false friends and
some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It is never between you and them anyway.

Loving Kindness

Let me be free of greed, hatred and delusion
Let me be generously giving, understanding and insightfully clear
I am free.

My free heart centre I fill with Loving Kindness until it overflows
And fill my whole being and then radiates beyond me
To from a healthy, happy aura which no evil thought, word or deed can penetrate
I am protected.

From this new found haven of Loving Kindness I send loving kindness to
All beings for whom I have affinity
My parents, the teachers who have shown me the way, my family
And all those who are near and dear to me.
May they be free from suffering, may they be well and happy.

I send Loving Kindness to all beings for whom I have neutral feelings
People I meet during the course of a day, people who I have yet to meet
People living on the other side of the world, babes yet to be born.
May they be free from suffering, may they be well and happy.

I send Loving Kindness to all beings for whom I have negative feelings
These are people whom I have hurt, with or without intention, or
People who have hurt me with or without intention.
May they be free from suffering, may they be well and happy.

I send Loving Kindness to all animate and inanimate objects
I send Loving Kindness to the four corners of the Universe; North, South, East and West
All points between both, above and below
A whole Universe filled with Loving Kindness

Loving Kindness to All
Loving Kindness to All
Loving Kindness to All

And I accept Loving Kindness from all beings without exception

Letting Go

To Let Go does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else

To Let Go is not to cut myself off, it is the realization I can't control another

To Let Go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences

To Let Go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands

To Let Go is not to try to blame or change each other, it is to make the most of myself

To Let Go is not to care for, but to care about

To Let Go is not to fix, but to be supportive

To Let Go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being

To Let Go is not to be in the middle to arrange all outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies

To Let Go is not to be protective, it's to permit another to face reality

To Let Go is not to deny, but to accept

To Let Go is not to nag, scold or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them

To Let Go is not to adjust everything to my own desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it

To Let Go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future

To Let Go is to Fear Less and Love More
